Little Ms. Foxy

As you can see by this photo, it was taken by my phone.  And, as you see, she is quite smaller in this photo than she is now.  Wow, what a difference.

Little Ms. Foxy

This pic was taken a couple of days after we adopted little Ms. Foxy.  We later discovered that she is a Norwegian Forest Cat.  Who would have thought??!!!  It is always so interesting to me that you would find these pure breeds at the shelter.  But, she truly has become our little treasure.  We wouldn't trade her for nothing.  And, boy can she hold a tune!!!  She doesn't really "talk"; but, she does "hold" her mooowwww'ss until someone says good morning to her.  And, if you don't acknowledge her, she is quick to jump in front of you and lay down on her back and demand that you rub her belly....otherwise, you will trip over her!!!!  She is just too funny!!!!

We worried about Goldy

We honestly worried about Goldy.  We thought we might lose her too when we lost our little Lucky man.  But, we explained to her that he was in a better place now and would no longer have any pain.  She actually seemed to really understand what we were saying to her.  She recovered and soon bonded with the other adoptions that we brought home.  She is an amazing little girl.  She is extremely laid back and pretty accepting of most everyone!!  Right now, we are having a serious issue with the jealousy that is going on!!!

It should become quite interesting.  We are adopting two more babies in the next two days.  Oh, this house will be filled with alot of fussing and feuding going on!!  But, it usually only lasts a couple of weeks!!!!  uggghhhh!!!  But, we will get through it.

Lucky and Goldy

This is our little Lucky man.  He dearly loved and accepted our little Goldy girl when we brought her home.

To all of our loved ones

Sometimes you may think that you just can't go another day!  Sometimes things just get too complicated for you to deal with.  Then, you look down and sitting at your feet are your "kids" (the four-legged kind)!  They are waiting for you to pet them, acknowledge them or just say something to them.

Pets seem to know all to well about our moods.  They understand when we are in pain.  They understand when we are angry.  The best part is that they just don't care!  They just come to you when you need them and offer to help you.  They are soft-spoken and they never pass judgement on you.  They just accept you the way that you are and love you regardless!!  Now, that is a true and awesome friend to have!!!

Delylia

Delylia loves her new toys!!!  She is a treat!!

Delylia was very tired after playing.  She had to keep the sun out of her eyes!!!  lol

Tawny

This is Tawny.  She is settling in quite nicely.  She has been with us for a month today!!  She has definitely made herself at home.  We love her very much!!

Ms. Delylia

Delylia loves to watch tv....lol

Ms. Foxy

Our life is shared with our babies

I will put their photos up and then update you accordingly.

The latest pics of our babies

These are the latest pics of our babies.  They are all settling in and getting to know each other quite well.  Although Foxy is still very fussy when it comes to "sharing" time with the other kids.  She definitely wants us all to herself when she has her time.

I have many life lessons....

To be frank with you, I have had cats in my life, my ENTIRE life!!  And, frankly, I don't know how I would be able to "live" without having them around me, under my feet or helping me with my daily routine and/or chores!!  They have become such a "second nature" to me.  I expect them to be there everday.  When I lose one, or have to make "that decision"; it is the most difficult time in my life.  I always struggle with weighing my options.  But, ultimately, I try to do what is in their best interest.  If that means that I must choose to send them to the Rainbow Bridge, then that is what I do!  I choose to have them go to a better place and not suffer, rather than prolonging the inevitable!!  I always pray that they will understand and forgive me.  I pray that they will know that this decision was not made lightly and that I always put their best interests first!!!

Whatever the case, I have had to make that decision more times than I care to count.  But, with that comes all the sadness and the empty feelings.  But, then later, down the road, I begin to yearn for another one.  Not to ever take the place of the one that I lost; but, rather to help me cope with the grief and sadness and depression of losing that precious loved one!!!  Below is a picture of my Punkin girl.  She will remain forever in my heart.  She truly was my "Angel Girl"!!  She had this way about her that I just can't put into words.  But, I think what I will miss the most about Punkin is "our routine"!!  She always slept in bed beside me at night.  And, during the day, she would ride around the house on my shoulder.  She completely trusted me and knew that I would never harm her in any way!!!

Punkin!!!  Beginning Blessings:  1993 - Peaceful Blessings:  2008!!!  May she rest in peace for always!!!  A true Angel

When you dream, dream BIG!!!

There are many things that I could say about my "kids" but, to sum it all up for you; what I would say is that I am truly blessed beyond all measure.  They are just such a special part of my world!!

Delylia loves her daddy!!!

Scooter had a really, really rough day!!  He fell asleep in this basket!!!  He manages to curl himself up very tightly!!!

Ms. Foxy!!!  She is very funny!!  And, quite talkative.  And, man, can she carry a "note"!!!

it's always a good day....

It is always a good day every day!!  We have been super blessed with our four-legged kids.  Each day brings with it the promise of joy and lots of laughter.

I have noticed since my husband and I have been married, that he has become quite attached to our kids.  He enjoys having "play time" with them each and every morning.  They have made it very clear to him that, once he has gotten his coffee and sits down, then they are to have their play time with him!!  They make sure of this each morning by sitting down beside his legs while he drinks coffee and "talking" to him.  They just want him to be aware that they are patiently waiting for him to start dangling their toys in front of them.  They enjoy their morning "play time" with their "daddy" each day.

Foxy is truly the one that has a major crush on my husband.  She has deemed this time as "her time" with her daddy.  She insists that he gives her a rub-down every morning between drinks of coffee.  Once she has had her rub down and some play time; then, she is done with him for the day.  Then, he is off to do whatever he wants.  And, usually, she is off to her nap-time.  It is always a good day!!!!

This is Goldy....she is quite a treat!!

the way we love them

The way that we love and live with our animals/kids is something that we should all consider.  Consider this, if you treated people the way that you treat your animals, the world would be a much nicer place to be in!  Though there are those with the idea that an animal is nothing more than that...an animal.  I consider this to be extremely rude!!!  You must always love your animals the way that you, yourself would like to be loved or treated.  We are the only voice that they have.  They depend on us 110% to protect them, nuture them and above all else, to love them UNCONDITIONALLY!!!  This is how we should be or strive to be in our everyday lives.
